Homepage Glow-Up for Cosmic Life Coach Carrie

Carrie Slayton is a life coach at cosmiccoaching.org. She is shifting from career coaching to an esoteric style that uses Tarot Cards, Shadow Work, and Dream Coaching.

She wants her website to resonate with this new approach. She’s not big on social, but engage live at events and conferences. She wants to feel confident about sharing her website and attract clients into her “orbit.”

Below is my BEFORE and AFTER hero section redesign. This area is called “above the fold” because it’s the first thing people see when they land. It’s gotta “Have ’em at hello.”

The BEFORE Screenshot

You can check out my Gut Reactions Video on YouTube (13 minutes) to see my thought process and ideas. Here’s a screenshot of the top of the existing homepage …

I love this! The original aesthetically pleasing landing page was great. However, with the new, simplified layout, a user can quickly see which link to click to find out about who Carrie is, her previous experience and how her coaching can align to their needs. Knowing Carrie, this page reflects her stellar skills and amazing abilities so well. She IS the Dream Coach. Woo hoo! Congratulations on this makeover!

Kenn — wow. I am so deeply grateful for the Glow Up you gave my Cosmic Coaching site. What you’ve done is far beyond “redesign” — you’ve brought to life the soul-clarity-energy aspect of what I offer. Every detail you chose — the colors, the layout, the flow — feels like an invitation for exactly the people I want to serve to land softly and say, “Yes, this is for me.”

Thank you for pouring your heart, your craft, and your vision into animating the essence of Cosmic Coach Carrie! I see how much care you took to translate not just my words, but the spirit of my work. I’m honored to have this updated “space” (lol – couldn’t resist the pun) as a mirror for what I come here to give. I’m deeply appreciative, and so excited to walk this next phase with a site that truly resonates.

If you’re on the fence about this Glow Up invitation, I would urge you to take advantage of Kenn’s expertise and trust the process — he has a gift for seeing what you can’t always see in your own work, and the result is a site that not only looks stunning, but feels aligned with your purpose and message.

With gratitude and admiration,
Cosmic Coach Carrie

Powerful transformation! And powerful niche – one that can actually be monetized (it breaks my heart when I see coaches put in dozens of hours of work – or 100+ hours – but are too vague or trying to sell ice to esqimos).

So… I was wandering why it’s called cosmic coaching – wanted to check the website. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the site is down. Hopefully I’m just “lucky” and this is the 1% when the website is down – all websites are down at least 1% of the time.

Ok… nope, that was not the issue – if I type https://www.cosmiccoaching.org , then I get to the website – works fine (but I see the old text/old layout). When I click the link in the blog post, it just keeps on spinning then after 10 seconds it times out (error page). Strangely, if I right click the link, I get the same url (https://cosmiccoaching.com/) – OH POOP! – NOPE! The website is .ORG – in the blog, the link is .COM. Mystery solved.

E.G.,
Thank you for sharing your perspective! I decided to call it Cosmic Coaching because I’m a sci-fi enthusiast and a spiritualist who refers to “god” as “The Universe” or the One Song (Uni – Verse). And my tagline for a long time was “Cosmic Coaching, where there is more than enough space to be you.” Thanks for catching the .org.

Looks a lot more professional and a clear, attractive design.

I love how you altered the picture/background so that it’s easier to take in while still remaining spacey. The new design really reflects where she wants to go with her coaching (I didn’t get that from the first version.) As a coach, I’m also laughing about the difficulty of landing on a niche vs staying general. Such a hard one & the drama of the decision plays out in the website.
