A Simple Model for Your Online Platform So You Don’t Lose Your Head
A simple way to think about your “online platform” so you don’t lose your head.
There are 3 parts to it …
1. Social media (public platform)
A place to engage with new people as we do in real life. Do it often, stay on topic, and keep it light but helpful. Show up every morning, on workdays, or just the weekends — the way that makes sense for your space.
Share, talk, comment, like, and engage as the coach they’d love to work with. I’ve seen this done many ways, but at first, I’d keep it light, simple, and positive for business types. I’ve seen trauma and addiction coaches share some serious stuff, too, though — and that’s powerful.
2. Your website (private platform)
It brings people from “out there” to “in here,” like inviting new acquaintances for a BBQ. A big part of your online coaching office is your email list, where you can proactively reach people regularly without all the noise.
So, in those emails, go a bit deeper with your thoughts, ideas, and wisdom.
3. Share your offers (paid stuff)
This is where people get your coaching for some serious progress. This is often 1-on-1 help for new coaches, but it can be a workshop, your ebook, course, or other.
As you can see, trust builds over time as people engage with your platform. TRUST is a must.
